Authors retain the copyright of their article and grant Veruscript a licence to publish it.
Articles are published Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited and its authors credited. See the full licence on the Creative Commons website for details.
If the copyright is held by an author’s employer, the employer must explicitly agree to the publication of the article by Veruscript under the CC-BY 4.0 licence (see employer licence agreement).
In cases where no copyright exists (e.g. US federal government employees), the article will be released in the Public Domain under the terms of the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Public Domain Dedication waiver.
