We want to be fair, and add value through a robust peer review process. Here’s how it works.
If the journal you are submitting to levies an article process charge (APC), then you will need to confirm you’ll pay if your article is accepted. Authors can also apply for an APC waiver.
This is a quick technical check to assess its suitability and completeness, and to check for plagiarism.
Our editor will select suitable reviewers to carry out double-blind reviews. The editor will accept or reject the reviewers’ comments, or request revisions. A revised version is re-evaluated, with additional peer review if necessary.
Once your article is accepted and any applicable APCs have been paid, we’ll produce HTML and PDF versions of your work, and send you proofs.
We’ll publish your paper online — free to access worldwide, immediately. You retain copyright and your article is published under a creative commons license.
